For your protection and peace of mind AMG is regulated by the Care Quality Commission. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspect and report on all social care services in England and Wales. As the social care watchdog, their mandate is to raise standards and stamp out bad practice, making social care better for the people receiving it.

The inspection consisted of an unannounced visit to our offices plus contact with current customers and employees.

But we don’t just rely on CQC inspections to ensure maintenance of the highest quality services.

We are an ISO9001 registered company and we have our own Quality Assurance Team who regularly visit every area of our business providing feedback and, where improvement is required, agreeing and monitoring the implementation of an action plan. This is a unique strength of AMG and ensures continuity of quality services in EVERY area of our operation.

We are also regulated by Local Authorities that we contract with, to ensure that we are complying with contract elements regarding quality.

All care and nursing staff are fully checked to ensure that they comply with the following;

  • Full enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB please note that this has recently changed to DBS check Disclosure and Barring Service) check attained annually
  • Full employment history with gaps in employment explained
  • Full training before the commencement of work
  • Identity of each person with confirmation of eligibility to work in the UK
  • Full health declaration

Our staff are also continually monitored through our customer feedback forms, spot checks where our branch staff visit staff members whilst they are in your home to ensure that they are carrying out duties as they should be, and via care plan reviews.

We have regular one to one meetings with our staff as well as team meetings.
